About us
We are a small, hardworking family business with over 75 years experience in the field, offering customers a wide range of lifting services. The company was launched in 1990 when Maurice Sutton decided to follow a lifelong ambition of running his own mobile crane company. Having worked for some of the major companies for over 25 years, Maurice's reputation had grown and, as a driver that customers repeatedly requested, he knew he could provide a service that put the needs of the customer first. He started the business with a small mobile crane and gradually expanded through referrals and repeat custom. More than 15 years later both his sons work in the family company and Sutton Crane Hire has built a solid reputation for quality, service and professionalism. Currently we run cranes from our Manchester base and are looking to expand further in the not so distant future. Most of the jobs we do are Contract Lifts, where it's our responsibility to ensure all Health and Safety regulations are strictly adhered to, but we also offer CPA Hire Agreements for those customers who wish to plan, manage and insure a lift and all associated hired equipment.
